One of my robot illustrations will be appearing on a United Skates skateboard deck very soon. I still need to give him a name though I have no idea, answers on the back of a postcard please! Hopefully some of his friends will be making their way onto some decks soon too.

I have been designing a logo, CD packaging and website for a new up and coming act, MC Danger. Here’s a visual of the CD front cover, will post more images of the packaging and website once they are completed.

I have designed a heck of a lot of skateboards over the years as well as quite a few snowboards, so I have added a portfolio page from which you can view some of my skateboard and snowboard graphics.

I have put examples of my work up in the portfolio section, so please take a look (link over there on the right of the screen). I will try to expand this over time as I have quite a lot of work, just tried to include a mixture of styles/disciplines. Right I’m off to enjoy the sunshine.

There are some projects I work on which make me realise I am quite lucky with what I do. I just have to put up with the constant abuse of being told to shut up and get on with my colouring-in. This week I have been working on a new range of tattoo inspired skateboards, here’s some work in progress. I even listened to some angry music as I worked on them, not sure the rest of the office appreciated that.

Some people gamble. Some sniff glue. Some have to salute magpies when they see one. Me? I draw robots. Maybe I’ll seek help one day if it starts to take over my life too much.

Here’s a few characters I have created on my Wacom. I haven’t named any of them yet unfortunately, and ideas on the back of a postcard please. A couple of these might find their way onto a skateboard or snowboard in the not too distant future.

I design new things everyday. My head is always full of ideas and things I want to do. I like to photograph things others think are strange. I like to sit and doodle. I talk to myself a lot. I talk to others about ideas, although not sure they ever really listen or wonder what the hell I am rambling on about. So I thought it was time I created a blog.

I have been thinking for a while now that I wanted to change my website, and I’d had a bit of a playaround with WordPress on a couple of web projects I have been involved in, and was impressed with it so I thought I would give it a go! The various reincarnations of my web site over the years have been pretty much static sites, which once I had ‘finished’ (is a web site ever really finished?!) I had uploaded and left to do… er well not a lot really. Maybe a couple of friends looked at it once or twice. But the sites have never really been dyamic in any shape or form. So I thought this would provide the perfect platform for my rants and ideas, as well as act as a portfolio and portal for my various dabblings. I’ll stop rambling now and put the kettle on.
