I spent a long weekend in New York City recently, managed to take plenty of photos, please take a look at my Flickr page to see two new sets - one black and white and one colour. I also purchased a Lomo camera whilst there, film yet to be developed but watch this space for some imagery!

The sun was shining today so I went for a wander with my Polaroid 210 Land Camera in tow hoping to find some things to photograph. One picture came out quite well of a subway, another one of a glass building just didn’t develop unfortunately (the joys of a 40 year old camera with out of date film!). Here’s the picture which came out quite well, along with another local shot I took last year with the camera. Plan on using the black and white films I have sometime soon!

Thriftiness does pay off…

My $2 Polaroid 660 camera actually works. I popped a film in it today to test it out and it’s alive! I now own 2 Polaroids, this one and a 210 Land Camera, so will need to head out soon with them both and take some photos when the sun is here to stay. Here’s a couple of test shots, yes that is my kitchen and yes I know its very retro.

I have put examples of my work up in the portfolio section, so please take a look (link over there on the right of the screen). I will try to expand this over time as I have quite a lot of work, just tried to include a mixture of styles/disciplines. Right I’m off to enjoy the sunshine.

I know what I’m doing. Honest.

I design new things everyday. My head is always full of ideas and things I want to do. I like to photograph things others think are strange. I like to sit and doodle. I talk to myself a lot. I talk to others about ideas, although not sure they ever really listen or wonder what the hell I am rambling on about. So I thought it was time I created a blog.

I have been thinking for a while now that I wanted to change my website, and I’d had a bit of a playaround with WordPress on a couple of web projects I have been involved in, and was impressed with it so I thought I would give it a go! The various reincarnations of my web site over the years have been pretty much static sites, which once I had ‘finished’ (is a web site ever really finished?!) I had uploaded and left to do… er well not a lot really. Maybe a couple of friends looked at it once or twice. But the sites have never really been dyamic in any shape or form. So I thought this would provide the perfect platform for my rants and ideas, as well as act as a portfolio and portal for my various dabblings. I’ll stop rambling now and put the kettle on.
